Since the age of 12 I dreamed of becoming a famous singer and actress with the purpose of using my talent to make enough profit to build a place for the homeless, the abused, less fortunate, etc. 

Unfortunately, singing is not a talent I currently possess however acting has become my entire life. Little did I know I would stumble into my degree in technical communications and learn how to write, produce, direct, etc. Much less would I have ever imagined myself writing my own feature films. 

Today I must say I am so grateful for all the opportunities and challenges that have led me to where I am today! 

I am currently writing the scripts for my movie (based on a true story) “Given the unloved touch” which will be the stepping stone to making my dream a reality. The profits earned for the films will be used to build “Jennifer’s Cove”! 

My goal for Jennifer’s Cove is to build a place fully equipped with medical facilities and shelters to improve ones quality of life. I would like to have a rehab facility and training programs to assist individuals in becoming independent. A place full of love and caring individuals because I believe that when a person receives proper love and care it grows in them and they are then able to fulfill and achieve their dreams. 

The idea is quite complex for each different individual. Each individual will be placed in different levels of treatment according to their needs. Each level allows these individuals to grow and overcome challenges they would otherwise struggle to achieve. Each level has a time limit as well in order to be able to help more individuals with necessities. 

Once they are cleared and ready for employment, I want to have programs on site to assist them with finding jobs they want to grow in. They then can move up into apartments while learning financial and life skills. As soon as they graduate from the program, we can then get them assistance in relocating to their own place working in a place that makes them happy. 

In turn I believe that with success they will be able to bless other individuals in a similar way. 

There is far more to Jennifer’s Cove than this however but more information will be coming as we get closer to achieving this. 

You will be able to better understand my dream after you watch the upcoming film “Given the Unloved Touch” but I also would like to give credit to a close friend who gave me the opportunity to live my dream as well. 

You see, a few years ago I found myself living in my car with my dog. Just as I was at the point of giving up, I found my biological father who I had never known and he never got the opportunity to know me either. However, in the midst of finding him, I found my cousin GM who gave me the chance to rebuild not only myself but to also build Jennifer’s Cove. 

He gave me the chance I never had as a child or an adult. I am a survivor of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment. I faced life and death situations since I was a child but I had always had a fighting spirit. Survival mode was my only way of living. I had gotten to the point I was working 3 jobs as a single parent. I had it all for a while however, over time, I had lost everything I had worked so hard for over the years as an adult. I hit rock bottom and had absolutely nothing left. 

Out of that nothing however, my cousin planted the seed of compassion and care. Just as I wanted to give up he helped me grow and believe in myself. He opened my eyes to who I really was. I was able to do things I only dreamed of as a child such as painting and he helped me tap into my adventurous side. I started facing all my fears and gaining my strength back to fight against anything that was to stand in my way. 

It is because of what he did in my life I have the opportunity to live my dreams and help others achieve the same! 

It is because of this I want to dedicate Jennifer’s Cove to him as he inspired the idea all the more. 

Thank you G.M. for being the one person in my life who helped me grow, helped me find myself, replanted me like a seed and allowed me the chance to bloom. I was a warrior giving up in the toughest of all wars, but you picked me up when I was falling. I am forever grateful to you. 

Jennifer’s Cove is a 10 year plan I hope to be able to open sooner. I will keep you all updated as more information is available!
